Refined gold bar ZlA-1, GOST 28058-2015

The ZlA-1 bar contains at least 99.99% gold per GOST, with the sum of regulated impurities not exceeding 0.01%. The grade cannot be described simply as «pure»: the standard sets individual limits for silver, platinum, palladium, rhodium, and a number of base elements. Actual results pertain to a specific melt.

Quality control

The standard bar is shaped as a truncated pyramid: bases 254±5 by 88±5 mm and 229±5 by 59±5 mm, height 35±8 mm. Weight ranges from 11,000 to 13,300 g, unless otherwise agreed with the manufacturer. Weight, surface, and marking are checked for each bar; chemical composition is determined from a sample of the melt of a single batch.

What to agree before ordering

Request the certificate and specification with grade, actual Au content, impurities, batch and bar numbers, weight, and year of manufacture. Agree in advance on additional elements, analysis method, and packaging requirements. An industrial bar per GOST 28058-2015 should not be automatically considered a bullion bank bar, certified composition standard, or finished jewelry blank.

Storage and handling

Protect the gold from contamination, scratches, impacts, moisture, aggressive media, and sulfurous vapors. Storage and transportation are arranged in packaging that preserves markings and traceability. All weighing, sampling, and processing operations are recorded in the established accounting system. Chips, samples, and residues after remelting are collected separately with reference to the original batch.
