The strip per GOST 7221-2014 is a cold-rolled flat semi-finished product. Thickness is only one dimension: width, length, and tolerances are specified separately. The standard provides for soft and hard conditions; the letter «M» means soft condition. Grade Au 99.99 or Au 99.9 determines the material, while the actual composition and batch number are given in the quality document.

What to agree when ordering

Specify width, length, number of strips, soft or hard condition, and allowable deviations. Request requirements for surface, straightness, edges, marking, and packaging, as well as a quality document with composition and batch number. If soldering, bending, or stamping is needed, parameters are confirmed by trial processing. Orders are placed only per full GOST 7221-2014.

Safety and storage

Store the strip on a clean support, protecting the surface and edges from scratches, moisture, and aggressive vapors. When cutting, use eye protection, gloves, and tools that prevent uncontrolled workpiece movement. Sharp edges after cutting are treated per the chart. Scrap is collected separately; soldering, heating, and chemical treatment are performed with ventilation and protective equipment per the safety data sheet.
