Applications and preparation

The solution is used as a rhodium precursor in laboratory synthesis of complexes, supported catalytic materials, and electroplating studies, where specified by the procedure. Its properties are determined by the Rh concentration, free acid, chloride, and impurities. It must not be replaced with dry RhCl₃ or a solution of another concentration without recalculation and verification of the medium.

Dosing is carried out based on rhodium analysis and batch density, using acid-resistant volumetric glassware. When diluting, the acidic solution is added to water according to an approved procedure with cooling. For deposition onto a support, pH, chloride, and pore volume are controlled. Material without a certificate of certified concentration is not used as a calibration standard.

Request CoA and SDS with mass fraction of Rh, free HCl, density, net volume or mass, and impurities. Clarify the analysis method, container material, and storage temperature conditions.
