Quality control

For diameters over 0.5 mm, the standard provides supply only in coils. For the range above 0.40 to 1.00 mm, the nominal weight of wire per coil is not less than 55 g, reduced weight — 25 g; other options are agreed upon. The coil is formed from a single length without splices, twists, or knots. The surface must be free of films, cracks, pits, and delaminations.

What to agree before ordering

Before ordering, select soft M or hard T condition, normal N or high P accuracy, and coil weight or length. Agree on requirements for ovality, surface, and allowable local discoloration. The certificate must confirm the Pl 99.9 composition and batch, and the inspection document must confirm the diameter. Electrical parameters of the finished part are determined by calculation and testing after manufacture.

Storage and handling

Keep the wire in protective packaging, avoiding moisture, aggressive substances, impacts, and sharp bends. Unwind without jerks, maintaining surface cleanliness and coil traceability. Track by weight during transfer and manufacturing operations; return scrap in separate labeled containers. Before welding or annealing, check the compatibility of tooling and atmosphere.
