Platinum wire Pl 99.9, 1.10 mm, GOST 18389-2014

Purpose and applications

• fabrication of electrodes and current leads per working drawings;
• forming frames, spirals, and other parts with controlled bend radius;
• subsequent drawing or rolling after checking the delivery condition;

Quality control

For diameters over 0.5 mm, the standard provides for delivery in coils; each coil consists of a single length without splices, twists, or knots. The nominal weight for the range above 1.00 to 2.00 mm is >= 150 g, reduced weight is 75 g, unless otherwise agreed. The surface must be free of films, cracks, cavities, and delaminations.

What to agree before ordering

Specify condition M or T, manufacturing accuracy N or P, required weight or length of the coil, and acceptability of reduced weight. Request the actual diameter, chemical composition, batch number, and surface inspection results. The condition and accuracy are not indicated, so the limit deviation and mechanical properties cannot be assigned in advance. A finished sensor will require separate calibration.

Storage and handling

Store the coil without sharp bends, protecting the wire from moisture, aggressive environments, contamination, and mechanical impacts. When unwinding, use clean tools and avoid kinks or scratches. Record the weight before and after part fabrication in the precious metals accounting system; collect trimmings and waste separately. Welding, heating, and etching are performed per approved technology.
